
This classic Czech Lager was brewed with a traditional double decoction mash, with floor-malted Moravian Pilsner malt. Saaz Hops were added throughout the boil and a large whirlpool charge of Saaz was added as well. We choose a very traditional Czech lager yeast to ferment this beer.
Cold fermentation and a temperature ramp down into a 9-week lagering phase, gave this beer time to come together. This beer was 100% naturally carbonated (spunded), providing a very soft/delicate carbonation.
Notes of fresh honey wafers, fresh bread and that classic “bohemian” herbal/spice note famous from the region.
