This was our first-ever stout available on St. Patrick’s Day when we released it earlier this year, and we’re so glad to have it back in the lineup as we aim towards Fall. O'Neill Stout starts with a base of pale ale malt from @barnowlmalt in Belleville, Ontario, which provides a lightly toasted malt background. Roasted barley from @redshedmalting in Alberta layers in flavours of rich chocolate and freshly brewed coffee and a balanced bitterness. Willamette hops from @vqhfarms in Eden, Ontario, and yeast from @escarpmentlabs in Guelph round out the all-Canadian ingredient list.
We know it might seem a little early for “stout season”, but beer doesn’t have seasons! And even if they did, this stout is lighter and more refreshing than you would expect from the style - even for a heatwave.
