For this new variation of our Cocktail Sour Series, we’ve recreated the Whiskey Sour! 🥃
We had fun playing with various ingredients to strike a balance that gives this beer the classic whiskey sour vibe. For the grist, we added lots of corn (bourbon) and rye (whiskey) to give depth of flavour. We then soured it with a specific lactobacillus strain which gives a candied lemon flavour. Finally, we matured this sour with lemon and orange peels to round out the profile. The result is a mouth puckering, sweet and sour beer with a splash of orange peel and lemon zing. For those who always love the egg white on top, the natural carbonation process gives this beer a soft, pillowy foam.
